Obtained with Grignolino grapes, light ruby red color, delicate scent, dry taste typically astringent and pleasantly bitterish, to be served at 15° - 18° C. Better to serve combined with classical Piemonte food: antipasti (mixed starters), bollito (a selection of boiled meats), fritto misto (a wide variety of savoury and sweet meats and vegetables, delicately fried), but it recently proved very good also with fish. Recommended ageing till 2 years. This wine has been assigned the "Torchio d'Oro' prize in 2000. |
